Searching by author

Another tip if you're having trouble finding a book. When you search by author only use the more obscure name.

If the author's name is Noam Johnson, search "Noam."

If the author's name is Ann Chomsky, search "Chomsky."

For the time being, authors with names like Ann Johnson may be difficult to find, as we're still working to filter the huge wave of results that come in.

I use Firefox so I have a tab with Amazon.com open and one with FeedYourShelf. Even cutting and pasting there have been 20-30 books It wouldn't find.....
I know people have mentioned this but I'm doing it the way you said and it isn't still working.
Also, I can only rearrange my books in "list view" Not really a big but......

I was trying to add books by author and nothing happens. It would be a lot easier if it did.

Bob,

This has happened to me a couple of times now. I've gotten on your site using Mozilla and I can't see the login fields. They are hidden for some reason. If I refresh the page, then usually they appear and I can log in.

p.s. Also I think that the pick of the week, the thing w/ Obama, is too damn big. In order to do a query I have to scroll down the page.

About the big Obama...I think this has to do with your screen resolution. I'll check into this.

Author Search

Bob,

Having issues with author searches, specifically, when using MSExplorer (granted have not used firefox yet). For example, I type "Dan Brown" and get no results.

Just thought you might be interested.

thanks for the heads up...we're workin' on it. The best way to search for now is by title....I wrote a post today in the Blog explaining the most fail-safe way to get your book. Thanks.
