A friend recently shot me an email and suggested that I pick up John Steinbeck's book: The Moon is Down. For now I just want to share with you one line from the book as food for thought. The book is about a city living under Nazi occupation towards the end of WWII. After a nearly bloodless invasion, the Nazis see the difficulties of continued military occupation. Some might say that the book has some parallels with the difficulties our troops are facing in Iraq.
[Spoiler Alert!!!]
The line from the book that struck me (and I'm paraphrasing) was spoken by a shaken Nazi solider, who despite military dominance felt helplessly surrounded by the enemy. He says: 'In the long run, it's the flies that conquer the fly paper.'
